Fernanda Santos of the New York Times reported that consumers will soon have redress if they are left hanging by their cable guy. From 2012 New York consumers will be paid a flat rate of $25 by their cable company if their cable guy arrives late.
Consumers have long been dissatisfied with waiting for field service agents to arrive. Gas, electricity and TV and Cable companies have for too long been allowed a standard four hour window. But, as Santos says, to arrive late is the final straw.
